About Role

Deel is looking for a strategic and experienced leader to launch and oversee a newly established HR Operations function. As Associate Director, you will play a foundational role in building and scaling this service, setting regional goals and operational frameworks that align with Deel’s global standards and growth strategy.

You are a strong fit if you’ve successfully built or scaled HR operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, have experience managing senior-level team members, and bring a strategic mindset to problem-solving and team development. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new function from the ground up and contribute directly to Deel’s global expansion.

Role Description

  • Capacity planning and workforce management & AOP.

  • Setting up regional goals and OKRs and ensuring the achievement of company and team goals.

  • Providing accurate reporting to the Global Lead for workforce management and capacity planning.

  • Managing the final stages of hiring and negotiating job offers.

  • Managing regional compensation and overseeing successful training completion for new team members.

  • Addressing employee complaints and ensuring the quality of communication and solutions for their team members.

  • Maintaining global culture and environment within the team

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, job performance for the team and conducting individual performance reviews and reports on metrics

Qualifications

  • 14+ years of experience in global HR, Total Rewards, or Benefits operations management in a leadership or regional management capacity.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and scaling HR operations across multiple countries or regions.

  • Strong knowledge of global HR practices, statutory requirements, and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights and business cases.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop regional strategies aligned with business objectives and legal standards.

  • Experience managing vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators effectively.

  • HR or Benefits-specific certifications preferred

  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Zendesk, or other ticketing and case management platforms is a plus.
