what will you do:
- own collection performance for the assigned geography and bucket(s); understand local portfolio characteristics, monitor portfolio movement, and execute collection strategies to drive resolution and recovery outcomes.
- lead, coach, and develop a team of 2-5 direct reports; set clear expectations, review productivity and performance, and drive the team towards collection targets.
- manage 3-6 collection agencies across the assigned geography; ensure adequate capacity, drive productivity and resolution outcomes, and maintain adherence to quality and compliance standards.
- own resolution and recovery targets for the assigned portfolio; analyse MIS and key collection metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve outcomes.
- ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, company policies, and the code of conduct for collections; proactively identify and address compliance or process gaps.
- work closely with operations, risk, legal, analytics, and agency management teams to resolve dependencies, improve collection outcomes, and ensure effective execution of collection strategies.
you should apply if you have/are:
- strong understanding of the relevant region/state profile of customers across local districts, including good and challenging pin codes from a risk perspective.
- knowledge of local agencies and demonstrated ability to drive and manage collection agencies.
- proficient in the local language.
- knowledge of the code of conduct for collections and ability to explain its importance.
- strong understanding of the collections business.
- familiar with key collections metrics such as resolution rates, flow rates, bounce rates, ROR for recoveries, and NC/skip ratio, with an understanding of how these metrics impact collection outcomes.
