Corelight is seeking a senior social media marketing manager to help us expand our digital footprint through social engagement and communications efforts that will connect us with new audiences, engage our existing base, and encourage advocacy for Corelight’s Network Detection and Response Platform, which is based on an open-source heritage. This senior manager will be responsible for developing a social media strategy tailored to the strengths of various platforms, implementing, executing, managing, and measuring compelling programs that will increase brand awareness and affinity and maximize advocacy and loyalty.

Objectives of this role

  • Increase awareness of Corelight across social media channels
  • Increase engagement for existing audiences with high-quality social initiatives that will inspire advocacy and encourage loyalty
  • Acquire new followers by filling gaps in our marketing content output
  • Align our brand with credibility in cyber security, thought leadership, and emerging trends
  • Improve ROI through consistent and effective on-target messaging and content
  • Identify new channels to embed our brand that align with our objectives
  • Glean insights from social data using monitoring tools and recommend directional changes
  • Up-level Corelight’s thought leaders and brand ambassadors


  • Create rolling 4 quarter strategy to drive social media engagement, impressions and followers within our target ICP
  • Use social media tools to craft and release content to our social channels
  • Develop social media programs and campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Become an extension of the company’s brand to connect with existing customers, and acquire new ones
  • Continuously analyze the company’s social strategy to make frequent improvements
  • Stay up to date with new and emerging trends to help keep Corelight’s social media presence consistently relevant
  • Establish key performance indicators to understand the efficacy of existing social programs and campaigns and optimize accordingly

Skills and qualifications

  • 10+ years experience leading a B2B brand’s social media initiatives
  • 5-7 years of management and leadership experience
  • 5+ years of marketing experience in cybersecurity
  • Keen understanding (with examples) of how to craft and execute effective social media strategies
  • Deep understanding of appropriate social media metrics and how to leverage them to fine-tune program strategies.
  • Extensive knowledge (audiences, content preferences, objectives) of a variety of current social media platforms
  • Experience with a variety of social media tools
  • Strong messaging and copywriting skills in a B2B environment
  • Strong multitasking capabilities under pressure
  • Clear, confident communication abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving techniques
  • Effective time-management skills
  • Strong familiarity working across email clients and project management software
  • Large social media following

The compensation for this position may vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. Depending on the nature and seniority of the role, a percentage of compensation may come in the form of a commission-based or discretionary bonus. Equity and additional benefits will also be awarded.
