About the Position

Our mission is to revolutionize application security. At Contrast Security, we offer a new approach to code security and application protection, from developers analyzing the first line of code through instrumenting a sophisticated enterprise DevSecOps lifecycle, and deploying apps at-scale.

As a Senior Product Manager for Application Security, you will drive the strategy and execution for our core security platform. This is a highly visible and cross-functional role that requires a deep understanding of the modern AppSec landscape, including how security integrates into development environments and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with enterprise customers, field teams, and engineering to define a roadmap that ensures broad security coverage and a seamless user experience across the DevSecOps lifecycle for users that include Developers, AppSec teams, and SOC teams.

We are looking for a technical candidate with a mix of business and organizational skills who can operate in a matrixed environment. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in application security, DevOps, AppSec / Vulnerability management, or SRE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy and Roadmap: Own and lead the Application Security product roadmap and strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

• Customer Engagement: Work closely with customers to understand their security requirements, technical environments, and operating models for scaling security programs.

• Product Lifecycle: Lead the complete product lifecycle, from high-level strategy and market analysis to detailed user stories and product requirements.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a liaison between technical teams (engineering and design) and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and timelines.

• Metrics and KPIs: Establish and track clear metrics to measure product success and customer adoption.

• Market Trends: Maintain a deep understanding of AppSec market trends and technologies to create a compelling and competitive product strategy.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on security software such as AppSec, Security Testing (SAST/DAST/SCA), XDR, or APM.

• Technical Acumen: Strong technical background with the ability to influence software architecture, API design, and cloud integrations. Experience in software engineering or DevOps is highly desirable.

• Strategic Thinking: Proven experience developing and executing product strategies that drive customer value and business growth.

• Customer Focus: Ability to translate complex customer needs into actionable product requirements and a superior product experience.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Project Management: Proven track record of managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
