The Role
We are seeking a Analytics Lead (IC) to serve as the analytical owner for high-impact business questions across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, product, finance, and leadership, translating complex, privacy-sensitive data into clear insights, decision frameworks, and measurement systems.
Unlike traditional people-managing roles, this position is hands-on and execution-oriented. You will independently own analytical strategy, define metrics, design datasets, and deliver analyses that directly influence company-level decisions. You will operate within a privacy-first, high-compliance environment and partner closely with senior engineering and data leadership to ensure analytical outputs are trustworthy, explainable, and aligned with platform constraints.
What will you do?
Analytics Strategy & Ownership
-Own the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics initiatives, from problem framing and metric definition through analysis, interpretation, and executive communication.
-Define and maintain core business KPIs, analytical frameworks, and decision models used by leadership to evaluate product, growth, risk, and operational performance.
-Translate ambiguous business and product questions into well-scoped analytical approaches grounded in statistical rigor and data reality.
Cross-Functional Influence
-Act as a senior analytical thought partner to Product, Engineering, Finance, Compliance, and Leadership.
-Communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders, balancing accuracy, nuance, and decisiveness.
-Influence prioritization and strategy through evidence, not authority.
Data Modeling & Enablement
-Partner with Data Engineering and Architecture to shape analytical data models, semantic layers, and curated datasets that enable reliable reporting and self-service analytics.
-Ensure analytical outputs are consistent with data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements, including strict handling of sensitive and regulated data.
-Contribute to data quality standards by identifying gaps, edge cases, and metric inconsistencies surfaced through analysis.
Advanced Analysis & Experimentation
-Conduct deep-dive analyses across user behavior, product performance, financial metrics, and operational signals.
-Design and evaluate experiments and quasi-experiments, selecting appropriate methodologies to isolate causal impact in noisy, real-world data.
-Apply statistical reasoning to interpret results, quantify uncertainty, and avoid false precision.
Analytics Infrastructure Stewardship
-Help shape best practices for analytics development, including documentation, metric definitions, version control, and review standards.
-Partner with engineering to improve analytics observability, including metric validation, anomaly detection, and trust signals for downstream consumers.
-Remain hands-on with tooling, queries, and analysis rather than delegating execution.
What skills and experiences will help you?
-Expert-level SQL skills and strong proficiency in Python or R for analysis, modeling, and experimentation.
-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders through analysis.
-Deep experience working with modern cloud data warehouses and analytics stacks (e.g., Snowflake, Looker/Omni, dbt).
-Strong statistical foundation, including experimentation design, causal inference, and applied modeling.
-Proven ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments and drive clarity without extensive direction.
-Experience working with sensitive, regulated, or privacy-constrained data environments.
-The comfort operating as a senior IC without people management responsibilities.
Nice to Have?
-Experience in fintech, identity, security, or other high-compliance domains.
-Prior collaboration with data engineers or architects on analytical data model design.
-Exposure to product analytics, growth analytics, or financial analytics at scale.
-Experience contributing to analytics standards or frameworks used across an organization.
