Join us in reshaping technology's role to foster meaningful, real-world connectionsJOB SUMMARY:Software Engineer II is an intermediate-level role responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software solutions. This roleworks independently on well-defined problems, contributes to system design discussions, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features. Software Engineer II engineers are expected to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, proactively identify and fix issues, and continuously improve system reliability, performance, and overall productquality. They also mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices within the development team.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
  • 4–6 years of industry experience in developing web applications or large- scale enterprise products.
  • Strong expertise in the .NET Framework or .NET Core and C#, including experience writing unit and integration test cases.
  • Experience designing and developing Web APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Next.js.
  • Hands-on experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Exposure to AWS services including S3, EKS, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, Aurora, SNS, and SQS is a plus.
  • Strong ability to assess the impact of new features and identify potential risks.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented, professional, with a positive and proactive work attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, test, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure web applications using .NET Core and React/Next JS.
  • Collaborate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Develop software solutions by analysing requirements, reviewing system workflows, understanding data usage, and identifying problem areas.
  • Participate in system analysis and contribute recommendations to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Follow and adhere to established engineering standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and create unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
  • Support and enhance critical services with a focus on reliability, security, and stability under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required to respond to system incidents outside regular business hours.
  • Proactively seek feedback on designs and implementations to improve technical outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, product managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support peer code reviews by providing and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and provide guidance to junior team members when needed.
  • Manage assigned tasks independently and contribute to sprint planning and delivery commitments.
  • Continuously improve technical skills by learning new tools, technologies, and development practices.
  • Work effectively across multiple projects and collaborate with cross- functional teams.

SCOPE OF SUPERVISION/AUTHORITY:

  • Duties are performed under limited supervision. The individual is responsible for planning and organizing their own work, which may or may not be directly related to the general business operations of the company or its customers. Training, guidance, and support will be provided by the manager as needed.
  • This role is an individual contributor position and does not carry direct people-management responsibilities. The employee is expected to exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance, as appropriate to the nature of the role.
