Job Description:

The Employee Experience Specialist supports the design and delivery of programs that help people feel included, supported, and able to grow at Cityblock. This role requires a mission-driven individual who can balance competing priorities by choosing paths that align with our service to members and inclusive internal processes.

Partnering closely across the Talent, Learning, and Experience team, you will apply a proactive approach to initiatives across culture, recognition, engagement, and leadership development. You will translate evolving strategies into actionable work, ensuring Cityblock’s values and Employee Value Proposition (EVP) are consistently reflected in the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the design and execution of employee experience strategies that advance belonging and engagement, using innovation to thoughtfully challenge assumptions and apply creative problem-solving to ambiguous work.

  • Support writing and submission of external culture-related awards, ensuring Cityblock’s external brand is a reflection of our internal engaged culture.

  • Solve problems using judgment and technical experience to ensure programs stay on track and aligned with broader goals.

Onboarding & Early Experience

  • Partner with the Learning Program Manager to design and update the New Hire Orientation program. Serve as the primary facilitator, adapting your communication style to bridge gaps and ensure a welcoming experience for all Cityfolx. Manage new hire onboarding program logistics and communications.

  • Facilitate structured check-ins with new hires to provide clarity and connection, translating Cityblock’s broader goals into clear, actionable understanding for new employees. Partner with Talent Acquisition on our New Hire survey strategy, and analyze trends from onboarding surveys to continuously improve the onboarding experience.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to improve how teams work together during the onboarding transition.

Recognition

  • Day to day owner of Cityblock’s online recognition platform. Track online recognition trends and use data to evaluate impact. Develop and launch campaigns that drive engagement while holding the program to reliably high standards. Partner with VP of Talent on recognition strategy and manager of Benefits on vendor management.

  • Facilitate nominated recognition programs end-to-end, including communications, platform setup, coordination of review processes, and reward fulfillment

Listening, Insights & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop communications for engagement surveys and support the synthesis of data.

  • Work with People Business Partners to identify areas of the business requiring engagement support and action. Use employee feedback to inform program adjustments, pushing through discomfort to deliver results in evolving territory.

  • Apply a general understanding of business drivers to ensure experience recommendations improve internal processes.

Learning & Development

  • Support the facilitation and coordination of leadership programs.

  • Provide program logistics support ensuring a seamless participant experience across all learning initiatives.

Requirements for the Role

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in a fast-paced or people-centric environment.

This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is:

$71,000–$90,500
