Job Description:
The Director, Growth & Business Development is a motivated and talented executive that can build relationships and generate a qualified pipeline. This individual will be an independent, go getter that will introduce Cityblock to new customers, open new markets and help identify expansion strategies with existing customers.
This individual understands the healthcare sales cycle, is comfortable selling value-based care solutions and can build trusted relationships with decision-makers such as health plan CEOs, CMOs and network leads.
Responsibilities:
Prospect and qualify new healthcare clients
Own process of identifying accounts, making introductions / building relationships and delivering pitches
Bring accounts through the organization to the “qualified” stage and ensure smooth handoff to other deal team members
Provide pipeline updates to Cityblock Executive Leadership Team and other senior leaders
Support Partner Success team and Market Vice Presidents on expansion strategies with existing customers
Conduct discovery calls to understand client goals, patient mix, and challenges
Present customized lead-generation strategies aligned with client objectives and compliance requirements
Build long-term relationships and identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Attend conferences (likely 3-6x / year)
Develop and maintain a weighted pipeline that is >2x our growth goals
Track activity, forecasts, and deal progress accurately
Stay informed on healthcare market trends, regulations, and competitive offerings
Work closely with the Growth Enablement Team to vet non-standard options and provide updates through deal governance forums
Provide market feedback to improve offerings, messaging, and positioning
Requirements:
8+ years of healthcare experience, preferably at a health plan, provider or management consultancy or selling to health plans
Proven experience developing a pipeline
Strong understanding of healthcare buyer personas and decision-making processes
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is:
