About the Role:
As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with people solutions, and effectively navigating all of the people-related dynamics in between. You will play a key role in ensuring HR policies and practices throughout the organization fit the needs and objectives of the business and team. You will act as a strategic business partner to the People Team, as well as a hands-on generalist for the company for all things people-related. In this role, you will closely partner with business leaders to align output with the People strategy. You will provide an array of strategic and tactical support as you usher team members and people leaders through the journey of the employee life cycle, and through our unique, best-in-class employee experience.
What you’ll do:
Partner with leadership to design and deliver appropriate talent planning activities that will identify talent, leadership development priorities, and succession plans
Leverage coaching skills to assist team members and people leaders through development plans and performance matters
Track and report staffing, retention, attrition, and other necessary data and recommend programs and/or enhancements as necessary
Conduct regular meetings with people leaders of respective business units
Consult with people leaders, providing HR guidance when appropriate
Analyze trends and metrics to develop fit-for-purpose solutions, programs and policies
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, mitigating risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Maintain appropriate level of process, program, and policy knowledge in order to assist team members
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to people leaders (e.g., coaching, career development, disciplinary actions)
Maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and AI within the field, and proposes changes as necessary
Work closely with leadership and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and drive retention
Help to Identify training needs for business units and participate in evaluation and monitoring of learning and growth initiatives/programs to drive success
Administer HR policies, practices, programs, and platforms (HRIS)
Develop and work on special and cross-functional projects as identified
Perform other related tasks as assigned
What you’ve done and enjoy doing:

Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including all HR policies and programs, including compensation and benefits, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, learning and growth, and federal and state respective employment laws
Excellent communication skills and the ability to authentically and empathetically connect with people, influencing and partnering with various levels of leaders and team members to remove obstacles and field appropriate solutions
Experience driving improvements that have resulted in measurable business impact
Success in effective stakeholder management, program design/management, and change management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong consultation skills and experience influencing and interacting with leaders
Demonstrated HR experience in a multi-business unit environment
Proficient in coaching, mediating, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, analysis, and problem solving
Ability to gather information and make appropriate recommendations and decisions while moving quickly
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to communicate complex ideas and business concepts in accessible terms. Able to exercise excellent professional judgment
Thorough knowledge of human resource management practices and employment related legislation
Previous experience in an HR Generalist role for a mission-driven organization

The base salary for this role is: $130,000
Chief participates in the E-Verify Program in certain locations, as required by law.
