Chamber Cardio
Position: Head of Engineering
Location: US-Remote
Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
About Chamber:
Chamber is revolutionizing cardiovascular care through cutting-edge technology and a collaborative team of dedicated professionals. We’re building solutions that enable cardiologists and care teams to gain a population health view of their patients, with tools that drive better decision-making and improved outcomes for high-risk cardiac populations. Join us in shaping the future of value-based healthcare.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Head of Engineering to lead and inspire our growing team. This is a critical leadership role at Chamber, responsible for shaping our technical vision, scaling the engineering organization, and ensuring high-quality, reliable delivery. In the immediate term, this person needs to be comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity, contributing directly to architecture and key projects while we remain a lean, high-impact team. This position plays a central role in advancing our roadmap, growing the team, and scaling the AI-enabled cardiology platform, all while fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and technical excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare technology experience, a bias for action, and a track record of building secure, high-performance, and interoperable systems that support real-world clinical workflows in value-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Strategy & Roadmap Execution: Translate the Chamber vision into actionable engineering strategies and a detailed roadmap. Oversee the successful execution of all engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and adherence to architectural standards – with a strong emphasis on designing for seamless integration capabilities.
Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing, mission-driven team of engineers. Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture, promoting continuous learning, best practices, and professional growth across the team.
Scalability, Performance & Reliability: Drive the architectural evolution of our platform to ensure it meets current and future demands for scalability, performance, security, and reliability, particularly in handling large volumes of sensitive healthcare data and complex AI models. This includes championing robust APIs, standardized data models, and flexible integration frameworks.
Process Optimization & Operational Excellence: Grow and optimize agile development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and robust testing methodologies to enhance engineering efficiency, product quality, and rapid iteration cycles, ensuring our systems consistently meet the needs of value-based care delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integration: Serve as a key technical liaison, collaborating closely with Product Management, AI/Data Science, Clinical, Operations, and Regulatory/Compliance teams to ensure seamless integration of models, clinical workflows, and data insights into our product offerings.
