About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Associate will be responsible for helping to setup and run the operational side of Chalk including finance, recruiting, workplace, sales + marketing and more. You will play a critical role within the organization by helping the company to operate seamlessly and supporting the team to reach peak performance. What you will do

  • Support Finance including vendor onboarding and payment, customer onboarding and invoices, work with external accountants to close the books each month
  • Support Recruiting including scheduling candidate interviews, employee onboarding, etc.
  • Support Sales + Marketing including writing sales materials, collaborating on customer case studies, and implementing systems to help the teams scale and operate efficiently
  • Select vendors, negotiate contracts, and onboard new suppliers
  • Keep the office stocked with supplies, meals, snacks, drinks and everything we need to keep our team happy and operating at a high level
  • Assist with administrative tasks, scheduling, and general support for Chalk’s Co-Founders

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Scrappy, problem-solving and analytical

Bonus points

  • Experience working at a startup
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams
  • An interest in machine learning / data infrastructure
