About the Role
Healthcare organizations rely on accurate provider data for millions of transactions daily, from helping members find in-network providers to managing billions in claims payments based on provider network data. To address this, Certify is on a mission to build the data infrastructure that will power the next generation of provider technology, making healthcare more efficient.
We are seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to drive continuous improvement in our data management strategies and help build this critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have product management experience in designing data integrations and analytical workloads at an enterprise scale, with a good understanding of various database types and practical knowledge of data standardization techniques. They should also be familiar with entity resolution and integrating data from diverse sources, including APIs, scrapers, and file processing. A problem solver who prioritizes customer needs, this candidate can navigate ambiguity effectively and is able (and willing) to take on hands-on tasks. Success in this role will require the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones with our distributed engineering teams.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to set the data product strategy for our platform, drive the feature roadmap for internal and external users, and ensure Certify remains at the forefront of the evolving provider data ecosystem. The candidate will work at the intersection of Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Implementation, Customer Success, Sales, and Pre-Sales to build a world-class provider data platform.

What You'll Do?

  • Work with product development leadership to drive product strategy, roadmap, and backlog prioritization for the integration and automation of data ingestion from many sources, ensuring timely access to accurate provider data.
  • Oversee the data quality process to ensure all source data is properly prepared for platform use, maintaining high standards for data accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Drive processes to accurately associate data with the correct provider records, including primary source verification data attribution, and entity resolution to ensure data aligns with business requirements.
  • Partner with other leaders in the product development organization to align on data acquisition and quality strategies, and define best practices for data integration.
  • Own the definition and tracking of your product metrics, including monitoring qualitative and quantitative user feedback to help drive prioritization decisions, product improvements, and customer success.
  • Communicate the roadmap and priorities, including data quality benchmarks, and data management goals, to stakeholders.

What are our must-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in data-focused product management and 7+ years in enterprise software, including SaaS, with a proven track record of building and scaling data products for enterprise infrastructure.
  • Expertise in data integration and pipelines, data standardization (profiling, validation), and data modeling (attribution, entity relationships).
  • Practical experience with both structured and unstructured data, including experience with cloud-based data APIs.
  • Skilled at bridging the gap between technical requirements and overarching business objectives.
  • Proven ability to lead from concept creation through discovery and delivery of products and product increments, emphasizing iteration and rapid delivery.
  • Good project management abilities, managing multiple concurrent initiatives with a focus on details and effective execution.
  • Effective communicator, able to simplify complex data concepts for various audiences and present product roadmaps that incorporate user feedback, market insights, and business goals.

What are our nice-to-haves

  • Startup experience is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, including provider data management, claims processing, or data interoperability, is a plus.
  • Exposure to AI/ML applications for data management, such as ML for data quality, entity resolution, or predictive analytics.

What You'll Get

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a supportive team of product managers who are committed to each other's success
  • Customer Interaction: Engage directly with sales, customers, and internal users on a weekly basis to shape product development
  • Leadership Exposure: Interact with leadership and key departments, including sales, marketing, customer success, and implementation
  • Growth Opportunities: Access to continuous learning and skill development within the product management function
