In addition, you will be responsible for other day-to-day risk and compliance areas of the business including:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Risk register planning </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Listed company risk disclosure </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Bottom-up risk management </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Advertising standards compliance </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Consumer protection compliance </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">FCA compliance </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Anti-bribery and anti-fraud</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight:400;">The candidate needs to have the right mindset and cultural fit within a highly-dynamic, data driven business with the ambition to transform automotive retailing in the UK, working with a brand new, diverse team, who really care about Cazoo customers’ experience.</span></p> <h2><strong>About this role and the impact you will have:</strong></h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Work across Cazoo to ensure compliance matters are appropriately identified, proposing and agreeing actions required to mitigate key risks.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Build and develop an appropriate risk management framework for the company</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Manage the company’s response to day to day issues inc business continuity, environmental management and IT disaster recovery</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Lead the company's response to consumer fraud risks. Manage the policies and procedures on fraud, bribery and corruption.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Provide advice and support that enables informed decision-making that reflects regulatory requirements and risks.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Lead risk and compliance function effectively. Support, coach and develop the Compliance Manager and Fraud Analyst. </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Build, implement and maintain an effective compliance framework through which risks can be identified and managed and Cazoo can ensure it meets regulatory requirements and expectations.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Provide guidance and advice on compliance with key regulatory rules and principles applicable to Cazoo whilst enhancing and maintaining an effective risk management culture, overseeing delivery of training and awareness activities where required.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Represent compliance at relevant meetings and with third party partners and regulators as necessary.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Retain up to date knowledge of all applicable UK legislation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and best practice that have the potential to impact Cazoo.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Maintain network of relevant external relationships to assist in understanding of trends and developments within risk and compliance.</span></li> </ul> <h2><strong>Key skills and experience required:</strong></h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Strong expertise on building and development risk management solutions. </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Strong technical background of FCA and other regulatory requirements across Consumer Credit, Insurance and online retail products.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Strong understanding of compliance and risk management frameworks (i.e. operational, conduct, financial, data protection and information security).</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Good understanding of relevant UK legislation, codes of practice and industry guidelines affecting Cazoo.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Strong communications skills, both orally and in writing.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Practical approach to problem solving which balances commercial and regulatory objectives.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Ability to form close working relationships across the business and influence management and stakeholders.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Highly motivated individual with the ability to work successfully in a dynamic, fast moving start-up environment.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Independence of mind and approach.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Educated to degree level or equivalent with significant Compliance and/or Risk experience gained within a relevant regulated consumer business.</span></li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h3> <ul> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Risk Management or Compliance qualification (CeMap/FPC or equivalent) (nice to have)</span></li> </ul> <h2> <strong> </strong><strong>Benefits:</strong> </h2> <p>Along with a competitive salary, we offer an outstanding benefits package, including annual bonus and 25 days holiday (plus an extra day for your birthday).
