Production Supervisor – R&D

Castelion is seeking a world-class production professional to serve as a leadership focal point between engineering and manufacturing teams. The core focus of this role will be scaling our manufacturing capacity to produce our long range, precision strike Blackbeard missile.

This is a frontline production leader role blending hands on technical leadership with collaborative operations responsibilities to grow manufacturing capacity and define vehicle production deliverables.

We are looking for a candidate with a history of executing in ambiguous fast paced aerospace hardware manufacturing environments to deliver high quality products within stringent timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Hire and develop a team of technicians in support of Castelion LRIP production goals.
  • Supervise shop floor activity, including daily schedules and workflow.
  • Lead and manage a staff of up to 30 technicians, including performance management.
  • Ensure all required skillsets are adequately sourced on the R&D team.
  • Maintain tooling and consumable inventory
  • Identify and develop training as required from the skills matrix
  • Track and execute on deliverables out of the R&D shop.
  • Continuous process improvement.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelors degree in an associated field.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
  • Intimate knowledge of MES software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
