Our mission is to build the next generation of AI: ubiquitous, interactive intelligence that runs wherever you are. Today, not even the best models can continuously process and reason over a year-long stream of audio, video and text—1B text tokens, 10B audio tokens and 1T video tokens—let alone do this on-device.

We're pioneering the model architectures that will make this possible. Our founding team met as PhDs at the Stanford AI Lab, where they invented State Space Models or SSMs, a new primitive for training efficient, large-scale foundation models. Our team combines deep expertise in model innovation and systems engineering paired with a design-minded product engineering team to build and ship cutting edge models and experiences.

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to be a force multiplier for our CEO. This is a highly execution-focused role that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to create structure in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

We're seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff hire to drive critical initiatives to support Cartesia’s next phase of growth reporting to our CEO Karan Goel. This role combines analytical rigor with execution excellence to tackle our highest-priority challenges and opportunities.

What You'll Do

1. Collaborates with CEO and executive team to drive execution of strategic and cross-functional initiatives, addressing blockers efficiently to achieve organizational goals.

2. Serve as trusted facilitator to execute on high-priority tasks and special projects as they arise

3. Work with business operations team and leadership on marketing materials and partnerships

4. Build customer success playbooks to drive activation and value delivery

5. Lead cross-functional projects that directly impact company trajectory such as customer success, security/compliance, partnerships, community-building, and more.

6. Build dashboards and reports to drive data-informed decisions

What You'll Bring

• 3-4 years of applicable experience at a top consulting, investment banking or private equity firm in addition to high growth startup

• Exceptional high-quality and efficient analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication

• Track record of driving nimble results in ambiguous environments

• Ability to anticipate needs and execute thoughtful solutions

• Experience working with technical teams and products
