Data Quality Engineer

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Quality Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will be the guardian of our data's integrity, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and robustness of the systems that power our operations and analytics. You will be instrumental in building trust in our data and empowering the organization to make confident, data-driven decisions that drive positive healthcare outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with data engineering, operational, and analytics teams to understand business requirements and define data quality standards.
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive testing strategies for complex data pipelines and ETL workflows.
- Validate data transformations and ensure the flawless execution of data systems built with Python, dbt, SQLAlchemy, Airflow, Snowflake, and Redshift.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues, tracing root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure the ongoing reliability and integrity of our data infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python and advanced SQL.
- 1+ years of proven experience in a data-focused role (e.g., Data Quality, Data Engineering, Analytics) with a track record of testing and validating complex data pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex data systems to identify potential failure points.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A meticulous, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for ensuring data accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare or PBM sector.
- Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools like Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and data validation tools.
