Manager, Procurement and Vendor Oversight

Location: Hybrid (Local to NYC area)
Position Description:
The Manager, Procurement and Vendor Oversight is a highly visible and critical position being added to Capital Rx. In this role, you will collaborate with leadership and department staff on all procurement and sourcing needs. This will include partnering with legal, compliance, finance and IT to develop a vendor strategy and administering negotiations and other sourcing management functions.
Procurement Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process from requisition through contract signature. Eventually through PO issuance
- Organizing and tracking all documentation between the company and vendors
- Evaluate current vendor management programs and identify ways to improve them
- Collaborate with departments to understand purchasing needs and develop sourcing strategies
- Conduct research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality
- Facilitate competitive bidding processes and support contract negotiation
- Meeting with suitable vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns
- Partner with AP to review and confirm vendor invoices to determine if billing is appropriate based on terms of the contract
- Maintaining vendor contract repository to capture key vendor meta data for reporting
- Support and own Request for Product (RFP) submissions for enterprise solutions
- Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance
Vendor Oversight Responsibilities:
- Monitoring vendors to ensure compliance with company policies, including applicable trainings
- Developing a sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors
- Conducting interviews with new vendors and informing approved vendors of their responsibilities and obligations
- Establishing standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendor
- Track contract for turnaround times, performance guarantees, expirations and renegotiations
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Economics
- At least 4 years of experience in Procurement, vendor management or supply chain operations
- Extremely flexible, highly organized, detail oriented, and able to shift priorities easily
- Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product
- Ability to challenge and improve existing processes through automation and redesign
- Motivated team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, forward-moving environment
- Strong analytical skills with experience using procurement systems (e.g., Tropic, Coupa, Precouro, etc)
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management abilities.
- Experience with PO data analysis, procurement reporting, and dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
- Prior Experience with PBM, Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid contracts preferred
Base Salary: $90,000 - $105,000
This position description is designed to be flexible, allowing management the opportunity to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as needed to best meet organizational goals.
