Job Description
Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on Jakarta, Indonesia so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.
This role is a 6-month engagement, working 20 hours per week.
What you’d be doing in this role
The Audio Content Specialist is responsible for reviewing, enriching, and maintaining the quality of free and royalty-free music and sound effects in Pixabay’s audio library.
In this role, you’ll assess user-submitted audio for technical quality, usability, metadata accuracy, and licensing compliance - ensuring content meets platform standards and is ready for real-world creative use. You’ll work directly with contributor submissions, applying clear guidelines and making consistent quality decisions at scale.
Beyond day-to-day review, you’ll contribute to improving metadata structures, content guidelines, and review workflows that support long-term discoverability and operational efficiency. Your work helps ensure Pixabay’s audio library remains trusted, searchable, and valuable for a global community of creators.
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
Identify high-quality audio suitable for enrichment and downstream use across platforms.
Identify and help curate standout audio content and contributors to improve overall library quality.
Collaborate with wider internal teams to improve ingestion flows, metadata standards, and review workflows.
Contribute to contributor education through written guidance, blog posts, or forum support, and assist customer support teams with audio-related questions.
Provide feedback and insights to product teams to help improve audio review tools, workflows, and contributor experience.
Contribute to the evolution of scalable review guidelines and quality assurance processes, including support for AI-assisted review initiatives.
You're probably a match if
You have hands-on experience in audio production, editing, mixing, or mastering, and can confidently assess technical quality and usability.
You understand royalty-free licensing, copyright, and content rights, and can apply that knowledge consistently in a high-volume review environment.
You’re detail-oriented and structured, able to make fair, consistent judgment calls at scale.
You care deeply about discoverability, metadata accuracy, and how great content gets found by real users.
You’re comfortable working independently in remote workflows, while proactively contributing ideas to improve systems and processes.
Bonus points if you’ve worked with stock audio libraries, marketplace platforms, metadata taxonomies, or AI-assisted content review tools.

By maintaining trust, consistency, and discoverability across Pixabay’s audio library, we help power creative work across Pixabay and beyond.
