Our flagship campus is in Sydney and have a strong preference for the role to be in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

About the Role

As our Onboarding Lead, you’ll champion the first chapter of every new Canvanaut’s learning journey. You’ll craft and orchestrate seamless onboarding experiences that build strong cultural connection, accelerate role readiness and set up new joiners for lasting success. You’ll partner with leaders and subject experts across Canva to design programs that scale globally while feeling personal, memorable and distinctly Canva. This role blends creativity, operational precision and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional learning moments that uplift our people and strengthen our talent engine. We believe that when onboarding shines, everything that follows shines too.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll design and deliver world class onboarding experiences that spark motivation and bring Canva’s mission to life from day one.

  • You’ll build learning journeys that balance culture, craft capability and operational readiness, creating clarity for every new joiner.

  • You’ll partner with stakeholders across People, IT, Security, Craft teams and Leadership to ensure a seamless end to end experience.

  • You’ll use data and feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and measure the impact of onboarding programs.

  • You’ll streamline processes, templates and toolkits that help onboarding scale consistently across roles, functions and regions.

  • You’ll champion the values and energy of Canva University, contributing to broader learning initiatives where needed.

What we're looking for

  • Experience designing or delivering learning programs, onboarding or capability building within a fast paced or high growth environment.

  • Strength in facilitation, communication and stakeholder partnership.

  • Strong operational and program management skills.

  • A systems thinker mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

  • Creativity, resourcefulness and a bias toward action.
