Job Description
Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.
What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
Strategic delivery leadership: translate group-level strategy into clear, actionable delivery plans by turning long-term direction into prioritised milestones, strategic sequencing, and clear focus areas. Ensure teams understand what matters most, why it matters, and how their work contributes to strategic goals.
Delivery planning & execution: lead detailed delivery planning for complex, multi-team initiatives by defining scope, timelines, resourcing, and quality expectations. Drive end-to-end execution through structured planning, proactive issue resolution, and predictable, high-impact outcomes.
Stakeholder & team collaboration: build trusted, strategic partnerships with Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Data. Align stakeholders around shared goals, influence decisions through clarity and insight, and coordinate cross-functional teams to move in lockstep.
Clarity & governance: design, embed, and continuously improve delivery governance - including planning rhythms, reporting structures, and decision pathways - to create clarity, establish accountability, and provide consistent visibility across complex, fast-moving initiatives.
Risk & dependency management: identify risks, trade-offs, and cross-team dependencies early. Establish scalable mechanisms to align teams, mitigate risks, unblock issues, and ensure smooth, predictable progress across group and partnering groups.
Process & tooling improvements: lead the development and adoption of scalable delivery processes, tools, and workflows that uplift team productivity, strengthen predictability, and create repeatable, high-quality delivery practices across the business.
You're probably a match if
You have 5+ years’ experience in program or project management within tech, SaaS, or high-growth product environments, driving complex cross-functional initiatives
You are comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate fast-paced environments with shifting priorities, creating stability and clarity for teams
You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with a strong ability to bring structure and order to complex systems
You are an exceptional communicator who collaborates confidently in async and sync environments, structures clear updates and decision pathways, and uses visual storytelling to make complex information easy to understand
You are a strategic thinker who can connect long-term direction to day-to-day execution and influence strategic priorities through structured delivery insights
You are an influential cross-functional partner who builds trusted relationships and drives alignment without relying on authority
You have solid technical fluency, with experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Data
You are an expert in modern delivery tools and practices — including Jira, Confluence, OKRs/goal frameworks, Agile rituals, and planning methodologies
You have a process optimisation mindset, consistently identifying bottlenecks and leading improvements that scale delivery effectiveness; curious about leveraging AI and automation to streamline workflows
You are a craft leader who contributes to the TPM specialty, sharing best practices, mentoring others, and uplifting delivery standards across the group
You value inclusive, psychologically safe collaboration, contributing positively to team culture and enabling others to do their best work
