Where and how you can work
Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a Campus in San Francisco, which is now home to our US operations. At Canva, we believe in flexibility and trust our team to find the balance that works best for them and their goals. That said, as this role is all about creating in-person energy and connection, you'll be spending most of your time on site at the Campus.
About the role
As the US Workplace Experience Manager, you’ll lead the US Vibe team, part of the global Vibe Leadership team. You’ll enhance the experience for our Canvanauts at our Austin and San Francisco campuses, as well as our remote working Canvanauts. Vibe handles office setup, maintenance, events, and community engagement.
Your role brings Canva’s culture to life, creating inspiring spaces and engaging programs across our US Campuses and Hubs. You’ll work with US leadership to set cultural direction and implement programs that reflect our values. You’ll elevate Vibe services, shape cultural strategies, drive engagement, and strengthen our campus utilisation. This role spans Workplace Experience, Facilities and Construction, Food and Beverage, Health and Wellbeing programming, Events and Engagement helping to build environments that foster connection and empower our team to do their best work.
What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Building and evolving the strategy for cultural engagement across the US in collaboration with local and global leaders—ensuring programs are locally relevant, globally aligned, and values-led.
- Leading and coaching a high-impact team across our San Francisco and Austin campuses, supporting their development, guiding priorities, and enabling them to thrive.
- Partnering and building relationships with key stakeholders to deeply understand their business needs and translating those insights into meaningful employee experiences.
- Representing the US Vibe team across the business, providing regular updates, championing the team’s work, and sharing insights on the US experience with global stakeholders.
- Creating and scaling cultural programs and moments that truly matter—from hospitality and guest experiences to rituals, events, and celebrations that bring people together.
- Planning and delivering end-to-end event experiences across our Austin, San Francisco campuses and for our remote team members—including social calendars, communications, logistics, and execution.
- Collaborating with the Global Vibe Team to design inclusive, hybrid and remote-friendly moments that foster connection across locations.
- Managing the US Vibe budget across programs, events, and real estate, making considered decisions that drive value and impact.
- Assessing and maintaining workplace readiness by partnering with Facilities to ensure our spaces are safe, welcoming, and reflective of Canva’s unique culture.
- Overseeing workplace health and safety standards, ensuring WHS protocols are in place, compliant, and aligned with emergency readiness across our campuses.
You’re probably a match if
- You bring 10+ years of experience in workplace experience, hospitality, operations or similar roles, ideally in a tech or fast-growing environment, where you've led and scaled programs that make a real impact.
- You're a culture champion, helping bring the magic of Canva to life across our spaces, and sharing the vibe in a way that helps others feel connected and inspired.
- You're adaptable and calm in the chaos, and able to pivot quickly and confidently in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
- You're confident engaging senior leaders, with the communication skills and emotional intelligence to build trust, influence decisions, and advocate for your team.
- You lead with heart, balancing initiative and drive with empathy and groundedness in everything you do.
- You’re highly organised and solutions-focused, always looking for smarter, simpler, and more effective ways to get things done.
- You bring a strategic mindset and commercial lens, able to connect the dots and show the value of long-term investment in workplace experience and culture.
- Your communication is clear, thoughtful, and timely. whether you're sharing updates, influencing decisions, or coordinating across teams.
- You’ve got a sound financial head on your shoulders, able to digest information, weigh up options, and make decisions that balance experience with impact.

At Canva we value fairness, and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation whilst ensuring internal equity within the team in each region. We make hiring decisions based on your skills, experience and our overall assessment of what we observed and learnt in the hiring process. The target salary range for this position is $143,000 to $200,000. When calculating offers, we make salary decisions based on market data and candidates' skills and experience.
