Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work—we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you'd be doing in this role

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Designing interfaces and building the software to enable engineers to self-service their network infrastructure.
  • Using IaC and our PaaS to define and operate large global networks.
  • Building a network platform to provide ubiquitous access to services between multiple cloud service providers and regions.
  • Working with stakeholders and other platform teams to forge Canva’s cloud platform products.

You're probably a match if

  • You're an engineer who can apply infrastructure engineering skills with a platform product mindset, who has skills in software and network engineering
  • You have experience with Golang
  • You have an understanding of Cloud Networking in providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • You have a working understanding of network engineering principles and practices, proficiency with networking protocols e.g. IP, DNS and TLS and an understanding of Kubernetes networking.
  • You have experience working with cloud infrastructure platforms to create a foundation for building secure, reliable and performant systems.
  • You have knowledge of web application architecture in the context of cloud providers.
  • You have experience using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to manage cloud infrastructure.

About the team

Networking at Canva is tasked with designing and building a global network platform to enable Canva engineers to build secure, reliable and performant services. We own the complexity of cloud networking and are working to provide self-service capabilities so that our engineers can move fast and focus on their domain. We’re involved in projects to provide ubiquitous connectivity, security controls and to support our runtime platform at scale.
