Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.


The Content Group TPM is a trusted strategic partner for Content Leadership and is key to driving team effectiveness in goal and milestone delivery.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Ensuring Goals and Milestones are clearly defined and aligned across the Group. This role is a key partner in designing, delivering, trouble shooting, measuring and updating the plan
  • Fostering and driving accountability to ensure successful program outcomes and build a delivery culture
  • Identifying and addressing coordination frictions to build a culture of continual improvement, delivery and effectiveness.
  • Overseeing program management for goal planning/tracking. This role ensures that the team remains focused, aligned, and on course, while also being capable of swiftly addressing any technical challenges or inefficiencies that may emerge.
  • Enabling the group’s delivery to help pivot in direction or advise on changes to the strategic plan to ensure goals and milestones or issues are effectively managed within related programs of work
  • Ensuring transparency on delivery through a consistent status reporting and continuously improving processes
  • Proactively and effectively communicates across groups and teams. You will connect the detail and programs of work, embrace challenges and gathers deep insights attained through advocating craft excellence and team context to see the bigger picture and create the future of work
  • Ensuring our goals and milestones are achieved by building a scalable system that endures
  • Support the Planning, Reporting and Tooling of Delivery

You're probably a match if

  • You bring a minimum of 5 years of TPM experience in a SaaS environment, this role is very hands on.
  • You have deep understanding of Agile product development methodologies
  • You are knowledgeable in technical concepts, systems and practices
  • You have experience working with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to deliver key company initiatives
  • You are proactive, hands on, comfortable with ambiguity, with a high attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • You are a natural communicator and relationship builder who leads through influence, not authority
  • You have a love for navigating complexity and tackling ambiguous problems
  • You are able to balance a process-oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to changing needs
  • You have introspective focus to continually improve the effectiveness of Canva’s teams
  • You are dedicated to personal growth and improving in your craft as a TPM
  • You have the ability to think strategically but also able to make crazy big goals happen.

About the Technical Program Managers

As a Technical Program Manager, it is your mission to work closely with senior leaderships and product development teams to build a sustainable culture of positive urgency in delivery. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs and be equally comfortable working with leadership to set strategic goals and clarify priorities, as you are with teams to communicate program status, escalate issues and manage dependencies as you are navigating technical trade-offs with an engineer.
