Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. This role is all about bringing the magic to life onsite, so you’ll be based in our Sydney office Monday to Friday.

About the team

The Workplace Experience team is responsible for designing and launching many of the employee experiences and services Vibe are famous for around the world while curating a Vibe that is unique and special to Canvanauts. Our Workplace Experience team looks after office set up and operations, events & activations, plus all sorts of community engagement activities. The team are creative, hands on and know how to bring the fun!

The role is an integral part of Canva’s Workplace Experience team, delivering a high-standard service that reflects Canva’s values. This role focuses on the seamless operation of Canva’s communal spaces, including the in-house café, bar, kitchenettes, and specialty spaces ensuring an exceptional hospitality experience for all Canvanauts. As the Front of House Specialist, you will coach junior staff, innovate offerings, oversee drink-related activations, and have an eye for detail to support keeping our spaces beautiful, contributing to Canva’s unique workplace culture.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Overseeing the seamless daily operations of Canva’s communal spaces, including the in-house cafe, bar, kitchenettes and specialty spaces, ensuring cleanliness, organisation and functionality.
  • Leading and inspiring your team, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Providing coffee service, including training on coffee machine operations and fostering a friendly and vibrant atmosphere.
  • Setting up and hosting in-house events, drinks-based club activities and team celebrations, including Friday evening drink activations, ensuring RSA compliance and a welcoming environment for Canvanauts and their guests.
  • Supporting the kitchen team with snack and beverage requests, such as pairing drinks with meals and curating front-of-house experiences that align with food offerings.
  • Ordering, recording and managing stock of snacks, beverages and supplies across multiple buildings.
  • Monitoring costs and contribute to the weekly tracking of expenses, ensuring efficiency and accountability
  • Distributing deliveries daily, ensuring all spaces are well-stocked and prepared for service.
  • Engaging with suppliers to refresh and innovate communal space offerings, enhancing the front-of-house experience.

  • Are self-motivated and highly organised, with strong leadership abilities, capable of training and guiding a team, whilst managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Show creativity and an open-minded approach to curating and enhancing the front-of-house experience through innovative ideas and activations.
  • Thrive in an evolving workplace, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of the broader Vibe team.
