Where and how you can work
Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to hubs in Austin and San Francisco, which are now home to our US operations. So whether you're in Texas or California, you have choice in where and how you work in each of those states. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

About the team
Canva for Education is the creativity and collaboration tool for every classroom. Available to K-12 teachers and their students at no charge. Canva for Education is built for K-12 teachers and students to improve creativity and design. We continue to see success on a daily basis of educators leveraging Canva for Education in the classroom. We are expanding our reach to Higher Education and ensuring that Canva for Education is used by every University student in the world.
About the role
A District Engagement Advocate at Canva is a key member of our team that is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with K-12 schools and districts across the country. They are passionate about education and have a deep understanding of the needs of K-12 educators.
Our District Engagement Advocates work closely with school and district leaders to help them understand the benefits of using Canva's educational tools and resources. They provide guidance and support to educators as they integrate Canva into their curriculums and lesson plans, and they offer ongoing training to ensure that educators are getting the most out of our platform.
Above all, our District Engagement Advocates are committed to making a difference in the lives of K-12 students and how they learn the future-focused skills they will need to thrive in the 21st century. They are dedicated to helping educators create engaging and dynamic learning experiences that inspire and motivate students to succeed.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the school district lifecycle. You'll own strategy, prospecting, planning, onboarding, execution, and results within identified districts.
  • Foster relationships with district administration. You'll be responsible for managing the relationships with the key stakeholders and decision-makers at districts and getting them what they need, be it technical documentation and support, onboarding help, teacher development resources, Canva tips and tricks, and strategic guidance.
  • Serve as an ambassador of Canva for Education with teachers and educators at managed districts.
  • Provide Value to Customers and to Canva. You'll run a healthy and predictable business that delivers a jointly agreed customer transformation strategy focused on educational outcomes within districts.
  • Understand the Canva user lifecycle. You'll establish close relationships with our passionate community of educators and learners to know first-hand what they need to become successful Canva users.
  • Identify trends and usage patterns. You'll utilize data analysis to shape your strategic approach to sales and account management and to note emerging trends to share with Canva’s Sales & Success, Product, and Marketing teams.
  • Drive retention and engagement. You'll continuously test, learn, and iterate on our lifecycle strategy at our identified districts to build meaningful and impactful relationships.
  • Seek out new customers: You'll identify high-value districts that have not yet signed with Canva, source strategic leads, and close deals to bring Canva to those districts.

Who You Are:

  • Experience with the US District Education Market. You understand classroom efficiency solutions and are able to communicate with Instructional Technology Specialists and teachers on how Canva can improve student learning outcomes through design and collaboration.
  • Sales Expertise. You are comfortable selling education software solutions combined with real-world teaching and instructional technology design.
  • Excellent Collaboration skills. You enjoy working alongside your direct team as well as with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Implementing new Technologies. You have a deep understanding of how schools roll out new technologies and how district-wide deployments are most effective.
  • Effective Communication skills. You create clarity through your communication by making complex things simple. You can confidently present your ideas and tell a compelling story to customers and the broader team.
  • Strong Business Planning Skills. You have the ability to move from planning all the way through to implementation and complete projects that deliver high impact.
  • Experience in Community Management. You understand social media standard processes and tactics for educating audiences.
  • Growth Mindset. You're eager to learn and develop your skills whilst having fun along the way!
