Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.

About Business Systems
Business Systems is a sub-group of the Information Technology group at Canva, with an aim to drive secure and scalable adoption of technologies that enable Canva to scale.
About the role
As a Business Systems Analyst for People Systems at Canva, you'll be working across our People and Technology groups to deliver on our shared goals by designing new technology solutions, adapting our existing systems and identifying opportunities to enhance our technology landscape through integration and process improvements.

What you'll be doing!

  • Bring our People and Technology vision to life with your technical expertise of people systems, by designing solutions across our shared goals.
  • Working directly with our people and technology leads to manage the technical backlog across people systems, supporting prioritization and operational excellence.
  • Leading the technical design and implementation for transformation projects, identifying non-functional requirements and designing solutions that enable our business requirements aligned to our Architectural standards.
  • Create and maintain technical design docs for solutions across our people systems landscape.
  • Complete options assessments for People tech stack and recommend solutions that will enable Canva to scale
  • Partner with other cross functional technology leads / teams to create and monitor integrations; making sure integrations run successfully / resolving issues and create a strong working relationship with third party system vendors to ensure strong service delivery
  • Identify and assess future ways of working and provide IT systems expertise to develop and lead on new strategic technologies to improve business outcomes.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in People Technology, specifically Workday, recruitment technology, performance and compensation systems, and a comprehensive understanding of integrated tech stacks
  • Ability to write design documentation with consideration for impacts across multiple systems, collaborate with business stakeholders, and lead the overall effort
  • Act as a significant tech stakeholder on behalf of Canva with SaaS vendors, driving the vendor's feature roadmap to realise benefits for Canva
  • Proven experience in strategic IT and Business planning, roadmap development, and large-scale project implementation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, leveraging project management methodologies to drive continuous improvements and automation with a focus on speed and quality
