What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Leading a team that is actively and creatively supporting our Canva developer ecosystem ensuring timely and delightful support experience
  • Driving the team towards operational efficiency and actively remove blockers that hinders team members from achieving individual and collective goals
  • Conducting effective coaching, individual or group discussions with members to set clear goals and expectations, monitoring performance, and providing constructive feedback with action-driven next steps
  • Collaborating within immediate teams and other customer happiness verticals for cross-team projects and initiatives.
  • Challenging and stretching team members to help them pursue their career aspirations while maintaining alignment with ecosystem goals
  • Upholding Canva’s core customer first values in order to produce long-term developer loyalty and happiness.
  • Being an authentic Canva Ambassador, fully-equipped to represent Canva across both internal team communications and external customer engagement.

You're probably a match if

  • You’ve had relevant experience in technical or developer support, ideally leading a support team.
  • You thrive in a customer service centric environment.
  • You are an effective problem-solver and resolve problems to make others feel that their concerns are valid.
  • You have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You can deliver individual results through collaboration and with a team goal in mind.
  • You have self-motivation for growth and learning; can proactively put themself outside of their comfort zone.
  • Adaptability and flexibility; you can tackle blockers and challenges with an open mentality and “what-alternatives-do-I-have” demeanor.

About the team
Canva’s Ecosystem Group was formed in 2021, unifying Canva’s developer ecosystem investments, to create an abundant (app and developer) ecosystem that allows each Canva user to have a tailored experience to their needs.
The Ecosystem Partnerships & Developer Success team within the Ecosystem Group is a cross-functional team that handles the entire go-to-market life cycle of Canva’s developer partner ecosystem from identifying and recruiting potential strategic partners to onboarding and supporting our entire indie and strategic developer ecosystem.
We are building out the next-generation developer platform, called theCanva API, to provide developers flexibility in creating innovative app experiences within Canva. We are already working with a number of third-party developers using the Canva API, and you will drive the future of this platform and the corresponding app ecosystem.
About you
The mission of this key member of the Developer Success team in Manila is to report to the Head of Ecosystem Partnerships and Developer Success to manage and mentor the team to ensure Canva provides a delightful experience to developers in onboarding, support inquiries and submission of the applications for inclusion in the Canva App Marketplace.
