About Campus

Campus is on a mission to accelerate the talent of tomorrow and reimagine what college can (and should) be. The problem is clear: college costs have skyrocketed, but outcomes haven’t. Traditional college hasn’t kept up with the aspirations of today’s students—and they can’t afford to wait.

At Campus, we’ve built a two-year, accredited college where students learn from top professors at universities like Princeton, Stanford, and Howard, in live, online classes. Our students graduate with in-demand business and AI skills—ready to launch their careers or transfer to top four-year universities. Our unique approach is grounded in a pioneering technology platform and a heavily-researched student success model that offers students dedicated advisors and on-demand tutoring and coaching. We were also named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2024.

We’re backed by an exceptional investor team that believes deeply in our vision for the future of education, including General Catalyst, Founders Fund, Bloomberg Beta, 8VC, Rethink Education, Sam Altman, Jason Citron, Shaquille O’Neal, and others.

The world has changed. Higher ed needs to catch up, and we’re leading the way - come join us!

About the team

This role will be a part of Campus Student Affairs, overseeing the end-to-end journey of enrolled students. From Orientation through Alumni Services, the Student Affairs team provides traditional administrative resources and outside-the-classroom programming and resources, including skill training, professional development, and career and transfer advisement to ensure Campus students reach for the stars.

The Affairs team handles all student compliance issues and all “one-to-many” programs, including orientation, graduation, professional development, career and transfer readiness, and more!

About the role

We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented event planner to contribute to creating impactful in-person and virtual experiences for our students. From orientation to graduation and everything in between, this role offers the opportunity to bring fresh ideas to student events, enhancing engagement and fostering a strong sense of community.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Lead event planning, logistics, and execution for key milestones such as orientation, graduation, student programming, and quarterly celebrations, with the flexibility to develop additional events that enhance student engagement.
  • Design and deliver student-facing communications across written, graphic, and short-form media (think Insta + TikTok) to ensure an informed and inspired student community!
  • Collaborate with the Campus Marketing Team to develop event materials, promotional content, and social media campaigns.
  • Oversee vendor partnerships, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality service delivery from catering, venues, and other external partners.
  • Lead event logistics and communications including student/guest travel, vendor negotiation, contract execution, and partner coordination, RSVPs, and follow up messaging to ensure successful events from idea to implementation.
  • Monitor budgets and track expenses to maintain accurate financial records and ensure cost-effective event execution.
  • Assess event impact by gathering metrics across attendance, engagement, and outcomes, creating and distributing reporting, and shaping strategy on how to improve all measurables.

We’re excited about you because…

  • Bring at least 2 to 3 years of event planning experience, with a track record of organizing successful programming from start to finish.
  • You craft engaging and inspiring content, whether written or recorded, and understand how to connect with the rising generation
  • Deeply aligned with the mission and values of Campus—you care about education, students, and creating platforms that amplify their success
  • Have technical production (sound, video, lighting) experience and/or understanding of the media production/editorial process (digital media or newspaper/yearbook club membership?)

What you’ll get:

A compensation package that includes a base salary ($60,000 - $70,000) + equity grant

    • Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary will be localized.

  • Take what you need PTO + paid holidays
  • In-office lunches for our NY Office (did we mention, we’re dog friendly? 🐶)
  • Flexible working hours & a hybrid work schedule (Mon & Fri remote; Tues-Thurs in-office)
  • Social events - happy hours, birthday celebrations, holiday parties, & more!
  • Opportunity to make an impact – you’ll be an integral player in bringing our vision to life
