CMT is looking for an experienced researcher who will uncover and evangelize all aspects of our users’ experiences while collaborating closely with product designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams. This role requires a holistic thinker who can tell data-driven stories that inform design and strategy around complex problems, and be a champion of the user experience while balancing business needs and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Use complete discretion and independent judgment to conduct, plan and lead primary and secondary user research such as:
    • Qualitative methods like exploratory user interviews, usability testing, heuristic evaluation, concept and content testing
    • Quantitative methods like surveys, A/B testing, and app analytics
    • Competitive and market research
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to:
    • Develop a research roadmap that aligns with product and business goals
    • Identify and evaluate research topics
    • Proactively identify research needs relative to the stage of the product life cycle
    • Frame problems from user, business, and customer perspectives
    • Facilitate research and design workshops
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations
  • Synthesize research findings into strategic findings via artifacts such as journey and empathy maps, personas, user stories
  • Complete any additional tasks as they arise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (eg. Human centered design, human computer interaction, anthropology, psychology) or equivalent years of experience and/or certification
  • 4+ years of UX Research experience
  • Ability to quickly and effectively share research results with clear and impactful messaging
  • Able to contribute to a cross functional collaborative team
  • Experience working in a B2B2C business model
  • Experience in ResearchOps and framework development
