Are you a seasoned public sector sales leader who can build winning sales teams, scale processes, and deliver predictable growth? And do it in a way that delivers results and happiness for our customers too?

The Director of Public Sector Sales is a critical and high-profile, quota-carrying role. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue for the company. You will own and report on sales goals, adjusting tactics as needed to reach them. You’ll work closely with executives in sales, marketing, product, professional services, and customer success to drive the company’s strategic direction and ensure that our customers are super-successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Public Sector Sales organization
  • Identify & build strategic partnerships that allow for faster government procurement
  • Identify, recruit and maintain a top talent Sales and extended partner team
  • Set and execute company Sales strategies, own the team’s sales quota, and drive continuous improvement of quality and output
  • Develop smart, effective go-to-market strategies and programs
  • Train the sales team to ensure mastery of methodology, tools, and tactics
  • Elevate individual performance with modeling and coaching
  • Implement effective & efficient team routine & rhythm
  • Partner with marketing, pro services, and customer success to deliver success
  • Monitor and measure sales operations with data and facts
  • Generate demand and qualified pipeline
  • Develop and negotiate win-win customer relationships and agreements
  • Enable team with technology
  • Help team close deals, but mostly teach people how to fish
  • Foster extreme ownership in individuals & team
  • Reward & recognize performance of sales team and people in company who help deliver sales
  • Own the forecast and forecast accuracy
  • Be the “voice of the market” and influence to marketing and product strategy
  • Ensure customers succeed post-sale and grow our business with them
  • Complete any additional tasks as they arise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent years of experience and/or certification
  • 9+ years of experience building winning enterprise sales teams
  • 3+ years of success in selling to and managing teams selling to the Public Sector
  • Track record of exceeding targets
