Re‑architecting U.S. healthcare demands speed, precision, and an obsession with details. Cadence is building a remote care delivery system that keeps older people healthy, out of the hospital, and at home. By pairing each patient with a dedicated clinical team that reviews their health every day, versus every few months, we catch issues early and intervene before they escalate. The result: measurably better outcomes for patients and less administrative burden for clinicians.

Today, Cadence supports tens of thousands of active patients nationwide. Our AI‑powered system and scalable clinical model enable proactive, population‑level care. We’re among the fastest‑growing companies in healthtech, and we’re just getting started.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Software Engineering Intern at Cadence, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to build and enhance the core of our remote patient monitoring platform in a high-impact, fast-moving environment. You’ll take ownership of a project end-to-end — from initial design, to prototype, to large-scale rollout.

You will:

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to ship features from concept to production.
  • Contribute to services that enable clinicians to deliver care nationwide and improve patient experience.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Apply best practices for software development in a cloud-based, high-scale environment.

Examples of past intern projects include:

  • Building a voice agent to perform HIPAA verification and scheduling, reducing patient call wait times.
  • Using AI to detect patient wins and automatically share them with care teams.
  • Enabling primary care physicians to download reports summarizing their patients’ outcomes at a glance.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent), with an expected graduation date in December 2026 or May 2027.
  • Prior internship or equivalent experience in software engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • A product-first mindset — you care about shipping quickly, but also about the real-world impact of your code in improving patient outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

WHAT YOU'LL GET:

  • Autonomy to tackle big, complex problems that matter
  • An opportunity to improve lives every single day
  • A chance to shape a category‑defining company at scale
  • Expected compensation range: $55/hour
  • Location: Remote (U.S.)
  • Duration: 12 weeks (Summer 2026)
