What's the role?
As a Solutions Engineer at Bilt. you will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical capabilities and business requirements for our fintech platform. In this role, you will design and architect technical solutions for complex integration challenges with property management systems, loyalty management systems, and subscription management systems. You'll lead technical discovery sessions with enterprise clients and partners while collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions. As the technical point of contact for key partnerships and integrations, you'll play a crucial role in driving our platform's growth and ensuring seamless technical implementations across our ecosystem.
In this role, you will…
- Technical Solution Design: Create comprehensive technical architecture diagrams for client integrations and platform enhancements
- API Strategy & Integration: Lead the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations with property management systems, payment processors, and rewards partners
- Client Technical Consultation: Provide technical expertise during sales processes and implementation phases for enterprise clients
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible and scalable
- Documentation & Standards: Maintain technical documentation, integration guides, and best practices for internal and external stakeholders
- At Bilt, roles have a wide range of scope where you may be asked to assist in a number of other capacities tangential to your role
- Technical Demos & Presentations: Deliver compelling technical demonstrations to prospects and partners
- Proof of Concept Development: Build prototypes and POCs to validate technical approaches
- Technical Support Escalation: Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues from customer success and support teams
- Platform Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and user experience
In terms of qualifications, we’re seeking:
- 4-5+ years of experience as a Solution Engineer, Technical Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role
- Bonus points if you've worked with or close to a financial technology product
- Loyalty, Subscription or Adtech platform experience a plus
- Strong technical background with experience in system architecture and API design
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- API Integration expertise including RESTful services, webhooks, and third-party integrations
- Database knowledge including SQL and experience with data modeling
- Programming basic knowledge in Python, Java, Go or similar languages
- Experience with fintech or payments systems a plus

We are considering candidates with differing levels of expertise for this position. Leveling will be based upon your experience and performance in the interview process.
Where a new hire falls within a range will be based on their individual skills and experience, and how these competencies compare across other employees in the same role. Bilt's bands are designed to allow for individual compensation growth within the role. As such, new hires typically start at the lower end of the range. Bilt rewards performance and outcomes - should you join the company, you will have the opportunity to grow your salary over time.
The salary range for a Solutions Engineer is $160,000 - 200,000 and will be eligible for equity and an annual performance-based bonus.
