Welcome to the Agentic Commerce Era

At Commerce, our mission is to empower businesses to innovate, grow, and thrive with our open, AI-driven commerce ecosystem. As the parent company of BigCommerce, Feedonomics, and Makeswift, we connect the tools and systems that power growth, enabling businesses to unlock the full potential of their data, deliver seamless and personalized experiences across every channel, and adapt swiftly to an ever-changing market. Simply said, we help businesses confidently solve complex commerce challenges so they can build smarter, adapt faster, and grow on their own terms. If you want to be part of a team of bold builders, sharp thinkers, and technical trailblazers, working together to shape the future of commerce, this is the place for you.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager of Small Business (SB) Marketing to lead marketing execution and strategy for the SB segment, defined as commercial businesses with annual revenue under $5M. In this role, you will provide strategic guidance and cross-functional leadership to a team specializing in conversion rate optimization (CRO), website publishing, and content marketing, with a focus on driving product-led growth (PLG) and self-service customer acquisition in a SaaS environment.

You will collaborate closely with Sales, Account Management, and cross-functional stakeholders to build and execute go-to-market (GTM) programs that accelerate revenue growth, enhance customer engagement, and improve marketing efficiency for the SB segment. We are looking for a strong driver that can work around challenges and blockers within the organization to deliver outcomes, not activities.

What You'll Do:

  • Team Leadership: Mentor a team of three marketing professionals responsible for CRO, web publishing, and content marketing targeting SB prospects and customers

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the SB marketing strategy aligned with corporate GTM goals, ensuring tight integration with the SB sales and account management strategy

  • PLG & Self-Service Growth: Drive initiatives that improve the self-service customer journey, optimizing acquisition through product-led growth tactics and streamlined onboarding. This requires collaboration with Product and Engineering to coordinate experiences across marketing and product surfaces

  • Conversion Optimization: Oversee the development and implementation of CRO strategies, ensuring website and landing pages are optimized for lead capture and conversion

  • Content Marketing: Lead the creation of high-impact marketing content tailored to small business decision-makers, supporting brand and demand generation goals

  • Paid Media Management: Strategically manage agency partnerships for paid media programs aimed at SB audience segments, monitoring ROI and optimizing spend

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Analytics teams to ensure marketing programs integrate seamlessly across channels and customer touchpoints

  • Performance Tracking: Define KPIs, track performance, and report results to executive leadership, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize campaigns

  • Budget Ownership: Manage the SB marketing budget including paid media investment, programmatic spend, and agency fees

Who You Are:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred

  • 7+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Demonstrated success in driving PLG and self-service motions for SB segments

  • Experience managing cross-functional GTM execution

  • Proven track record managing paid media agencies and optimizing campaign ROI

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities

  • Expertise in CRO, content marketing, and digital publishing

  • Data-driven decision-making with proficiency in analytics and marketing automation tools

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
