The BigCommerce Marketing Team is looking for a Senior Manager to lead a growth-minded, full-stack web development team in building our composable Digital Experience Platform supporting www.bigcommerce.com and other marketing web properties. As BigCommerce continues to secure its position as a leader in the ecommerce industry with the corporate website remaining one of our most valuable marketing assets, we believe delivering the best possible customer experience, blazing-fast time-to-market, clearly differentiated brand identity and an effortlessly fluid buyer journey are critical to meeting business objectives.

In this role, you will take primary ownership of the website technical architecture and development approach by collaborating with others to deliver key web roadmap initiatives to reach business goals. You will work closely with other engineering teams, IT, operations, designers, marketing stakeholders, and product managers to help assess the scope and technical concerns as well as advocate for best practices that improve code quality, stability and efficiency.

What You’ll Do:

• Be both an active hands-on coder and an effective mentor

• Drive the technical roadmap and direction of the marketing website tech stack

• Lead and encourage your team and other specialists to build best-in-class marketing experiences

• Work closely with business stakeholders in marketing to develop scalable solutions to the ever-changing ecommerce landscape

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders across cross-functional teams to promote communication and coordination

• Establish team objectives in alignment with business goals

• Prioritize and facilitate regular 1:1’s with your team for coaching and mentoring

• Build an open, positive, and energized culture

Who You Are:

• BS/MS in CS, CE, SEW, EE or MIS, or equivalent experience

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in computer science, engineering or a related field

• 5+ years’ experience in building modern systems with JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, GraphQL, CSS, Sass

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience building, leading, and growing highly-effective teams

• Passion for building well-architected, large scale web experiences

• Experience with Headless/Composable Content Management Systems, DXPs, and Delivery Networks

• Familiarity with marketing stacks including CDPs, DAM, BI, CEM, and CRO

• Experience working with Tailwind CSS is a plus

• Experience working with Figma or other modern design workflows

• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

• Knowledge of W3C Accessibility Guidelines
