Better Health is creating a new medical provider type, disrupting the $80B home medical supply industry. How? By bundling peer support, coaching, education, and home delivery of medical supplies in an end-to-end care solution. We help our members discover and purchase the best medical equipment and supplies to address their underlying chronic conditions.

Since its inception in November 2019, Better Health has gained Medicare licenses in 46 states, 11 Medicaid licenses, and preferred national provider contracts with Oscar Health and Humana. Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Operations will play a key role in driving operational excellence, process optimization, and team leadership to support Better Health’s continued growth. This role requires a data-driven and strategic leader with a hands-on approach to solving complex operational challenges. You will oversee workflows, optimize processes, and ensure the day-to-day execution of key initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in high-growth environments, combines strategic thinking with tactical execution, and has a relentless focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement. In this role, you will be a thought partner to the Senior Director of Operations.

This role is critical to scaling Better Health’s operations and ensuring we continue to deliver an exceptional experience to our members and partners. Developing a deep understanding of Operations and the broader business will be critical to your success.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the activation and retention teams, ensuring alignment with company strategy.

• Support cross-functional initiatives by collaborating with other teams (e.g., partnerships, product, and marketing) to address operational challenges and execute on company goals.

• Implement process improvements to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and scale operations.

• Manage cross-functional collaboration to streamline workflows and improve member experience.

• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and growth.

• Design and implement operational policies, tools, and processes to optimize team productivity.

• Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on operational performance and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in operations, strategic leadership, or similar roles.

• Proven experience in people management, including hiring, training, mentoring, and developing team members to drive performance, and fostering results-driven culture.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

• Proven success in process optimization, workflow improvements, and scaling operations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

• Player/coach mentality, ability to zoom in/out, and leading by example

• Familiarity with healthcare/digital health space

• Startup/high growth experience is preferred
