Before we arrived on the scene, if you wanted really great beauty products, you had to shop at traditional beauty retail - and overpay for all the crazy markups. Now, our members have access to shop from the best-quality beauty and wellness products (from the leading labs in France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Japan, Korea, etc) and get a bigger piece of the Beauty Pie.
We are looking for a Senior Mobile Designer, with specific experience in designing iOS Apps to join our Product team, working alongside our developers and data team to continue building a perfect user experience for our users. This role requires expertise in user research and usability design. You’re going to be embedded in one of our product teams and will work closely with our Lead Product Manager and Tech Lead to understand business requirements, gather the best possible research, and create and promote standard and good practices for crafting our platform and features for our users. Insights and data (quant and qual) are what drive our team, and you will use it to support your decisions. We would love someone passionate about Design and UX, who really loves to understand our customers.
You're a natural multitasker, curious to learn new things everyday, who's not afraid to make a decision and learn from the outcome. You like to move fast, identify problems, solve them, iterate and evolve, bringing your best to the game. You are looking for an opportunity to grow a great brand, for a rocket-ship of a business that will scale in size and go global. One that thrills its customers. And delivers happiness. We'll be asking for your input, experience, teamwork, ideas, and camaraderie, while we navigate the unknown, the mysterious and the upside together.
Description of the role
This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our team. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for:
Discovery
- Validate (or invalidate) hypotheses, both problem and solution-related, and help shape pivotal implementation decisions off the back of it. Research consumer behaviors and expectations
- Create and test wireframes, user flows, low-fidelity prototypes and run/analyze concept validation studies with a sample of users. You’ll have direct access to users and customers alike
- Coordinate and conduct user-first discoveries, ethnographic research, as well as other appropriate behavioral and attitudinal research to help advise and evaluate design
- Work with multidisciplinary teams across the business to facilitate business partner (business and user) workshops, run appropriate conceptualisation and participatory design sessions
Delivery
- Redefine complicated experiences and complex problems into simple and intuitive solutions
- Clearly present various stages of design development to business owners, team members and other business partners
- Translate UX recommendations and data-driven decisions for feature/function concepts into visual designs such as wireframes/prototypes and high-fidelity designs
- Participate in the definition of our in-house design language to provide a unified set of UX and design rules
- Works with Lead Product Manager, developers and data analysts to set up all requirements
Requirements
We believe it's all about mindset, great skills and attitude and a fantastic work ethic being key. If you’re aligned to our values, excited about the opportunity, and you’re really good at what you do (even if you don’t tick all the boxes) apply anyway!*
