Beacon Biosignals is on a mission to revolutionize precision medicine for the brain. We are the leading at-home EEG platform supporting clinical development of novel therapeutics for neurological, psychiatric, and sleep disorders. Our FDA 510(k)-cleared Dreem EEG headband and AI algorithms enable quantitative biomarker discovery and implementation. Beacon’s Clinico-EEG database contains EEG data from nearly 100,000 patients, and our cloud-native analytics platform powers large-scale RWD/RWE retrospective and predictive studies. Beacon Biosignals is changing the way that patients are treated for any disorder that affects brain physiology.

Beacon Biosignals is seeking a Director of Logistics to build and scale our global logistics operations. In this role, you’ll oversee the supply and delivery of our cutting-edge EEG headbands, ensuring that clinical trial sites, trial participants, and patients around the world have reliable and efficient access to our devices and accessories. You’ll work closely with the Device Engineering team, Product Management, and Quality to align logistics with product roadmaps, device design, and regulatory standards. From managing global inventory and logistics partners to implementing an ERP system and returns program, you’ll play a critical role in enabling life-changing neuroscience research.

At Beacon, we've found that cultural and scientific impact is driven most by those that lead by example. As such, we're always seeking new contributors whose work demonstrates an avid curiosity, a bias towards simplicity, an eye for composability, a self-service mindset, and - most of all - a deep empathy towards colleagues, stakeholders, users, and patients. We believe a diverse team builds more robust systems and achieves higher impact.

This is a full-time hybrid role working out of our Boston office 3 days per week.

Beacon's robust asynchronous work practices ensure a first-class remote work experience, but we also have in-person office hubs available located in Boston, New York and Paris.

What Success Looks Like

  • Develop and improve Beacon's inventory management and forecasting processes, ensuring optimal stock levels to support clinical trial needs globally.
  • Set up and oversee third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships to service trial sites and participants worldwide, balancing cost-efficiency with service reliability.
  • Design and implement kitting procedures to combine EEG headbands and accessories into complete "kits" that can be shipped to trial sites or directly to participants.
  • Develop and refine Beacon's internal ordering processes to ensure seamless fulfillment and transparent reporting for stakeholders.
  • Select and implement an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to centralize and streamline supply chain, inventory, and order management processes.
  • Integrate planning and logistics functions with Beacon's clinical trial operations and device data collection.
  • Design and launch a returns and refurbishment program to manage the lifecycle of devices, ensuring they can be inspected, repaired, and re-deployed in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with other teams and stakeholders at Beacon to ensure logistics processes align with product roadmaps, device design requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Anticipate risks such as supply chain disruptions, and proactively establish contingency plans to maintain operational continuity.

What You Will Bring

  • Extensive (10+ years) experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in a life sciences, medical device, or similar regulated environment.
  • Proven track record of managing global logistics operations and working with 3PL partners to deliver exceptional results.
  • Strong expertise in inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply planning, particularly for high-value, high-precision products.
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing kitting and fulfillment processes for complex products with multiple components.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, and managing ERP systems for inventory and order management.
  • Experience with returns management and refurbishment processes, particularly for reusable devices or equipment in regulated domains.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to design scalable systems and processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • A solution-oriented mindset, with the ability and drive to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
