Beacon Biosignals is on a mission to revolutionize precision medicine for the brain. We are the leading at-home EEG platform supporting clinical development of novel therapeutics for neurological, psychiatric, and sleep disorders. Our FDA 510(k)-cleared Dreem EEG headband and AI algorithms enable quantitative biomarker discovery and implementation. Beacon’s Clinico-EEG database contains EEG data from nearly 100,000 patients, and our cloud-native analytics platform powers large-scale RWD/RWE retrospective and predictive studies. Beacon Biosignals is changing the way that patients are treated for any disorder that affects brain physiology.

We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to create and execute strategies that elevate our brand narrative and value proposition with key audiences, particularly among pharmaceutical company R&D organizations. This role is the first full-time marketing professional at Beacon, and you’ll be reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer to support the growth of the Marketing function.

Beacon's robust asynchronous work practices ensure a first-class remote work experience, but we also have in-person office hubs available located in Boston, New York, and Paris.

What Success Looks Like

  • Research and understand drivers for key audiences for the business, including internal, biopharma partners, clinical research organizations, academic institutions, and patients.
  • Identify potential marketing and communications for these audiences and create experiments to evaluate and prioritize effort.
  • Lead the creation of written and visual content across platforms—including the corporate website, social media (LinkedIn), newsletters, white papers, conference engagements and events, and marketing materials—to efficiently and effectively communicate the value of Beacon Biosignals technology and services.
  • Collaborate across the company, including with business development, life sciences, engineering and machine learning, product, and human resources teams, to ensure consistent messaging and to equip teams with clear and effective internal messaging.
  • Manage media relations and support the executive team in developing strong relationships with key industry journalists.
  • Secure coverage for milestone events and maintain a working understanding of relevant trends and outlets.
  • Interrogate business strategies and plans to identify and mitigate reputational risks, as well as identify and elevate opportunities to strengthen the brand through public-facing awareness and campaigns.

What Will You Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and communications in the healthcare or biotechnology industry, with preference for some experience in neuroscience and/or precision medicine.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to read and interpret primary scientific literature to create compelling content for general audiences.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, including content management systems, social media, and analytics software.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently on a wide range of objectives and initiatives, being creative and strategic to execute on tight timelines.
  • Able to conduct efficient meetings.
  • Well-organized and task-oriented.

The base salary range for this role is determined based on past experience, specific skills, and qualifications. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes equity, PTO, health insurance, and other benefits.
