The Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to the finance team, responsible for supporting the Head of FP&A in managing financials across the company. This role involves a blend of financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting, with a strong focus on collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate will be analytical and can take ownership of financial processes and execute on them from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling and Analysis: Update existing financial models to support long range planning, annual budgeting, and monthly forecasting processes. Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Partner with business leaders to track departmental budgets and support the Head of FP&A with monthly forecasts.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Assist with the preparation of board and investor materials, including financial models and supporting analysis.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Ability to take ownership and execute on ad hoc projects to support new business initiatives, investment decisions, and operational improvements.
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a finance business partner to various departments, offering financial guidance and insights to support their decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas preferred
  • Comfortable working in financial models and managing budgets for business partners
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Can work in fast-paced environments with an interest in the media industry
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to take ownership and work independently.
  • Experience with NetSuite and FP&A tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
