About the Job

Bandana has grown to over a million monthly active job seekers since October 2023, fields jobs for thousands of employers and is investing heavily into building the best job search and career platform for blue collar workers. We’re looking for senior full stack engineers to slot into major initiatives like launching AI-driven job applications, job matching, a best-in-class ATS (applicant tracking system), and the most powerful job search experience in the world.

There’s unlimited possibilities in how we might deploy gen AI to help candidates and employers, an industry full of opportunity going through massive churn, and a labor force skeptical of AI but in want and need of change. We’re looking for engineers not only to help us execute, but who are deeply excited about figuring out how to fix job seeking.

Responsibilities

• Develop major products like AI-driven job applications, an ATS, and career progression tools
• Use modern tech to ship across the stack, from infrastructure to pixels
• Identify and drive adoption of AI tools and frameworks to level up the engineering team
• Work with the rest of the Bandana team to understand user needs and drive product features to address them

You might be a good fit if you…

• Have 5+ years of experience working in high-impact cross-functional teams
• Have strong practical experience in React, Typescript, Node.js/Next.js, Prisma, and tRPC
• Obsess over users and a well crafted product
• Are excited about the possibility of AI to upend job seeking today
• Thrive in high velocity, collaborative teams with ambiguous requirements and high opportunity for ownership

Strong candidates may also:

• Have experience integrating with ATS and programmatic XML feed systems
• Have worked in a startup environment
• Have deployed products using Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine
• Have maintained stability in CI with vitest, Playwright and Storybook
• Have experience with agentic AI systems, especially if you have developed multiagent/federated systems or implemented robustness monitoring and observability
• Have experience with web optimization for low-end high-latency devices

Logistics

• We require at least a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• We require all employees to be in office 5 days a week. Bandana is based in the Williamsburg neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY.

• $180,000 - $200,000 based on experience + equity
