DESCRIPTION
AWS Aerospace and Satellite team is looking for an experienced Sr. Account Manager that has the experience and reputation for overachieving quota while focusing on the customer. They should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT leaders.
The Sr. Account Manager will be an exceptionally strong and creative thinker who thrives in a team environment and embraces all aspects of selling.
They must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have very strong verbal and written communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
A self-starter to proactively pick up and progress the full sales cycle from initial inquiry to closure. We are looking for a team player who will focus on increasing awareness and adoption of AWS by directly engaging with space and satellite customers who are reinventing their space missions and business operations through cloud adoption.
• Meet or exceed revenue targets
• Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
• Coordinate activities of the extended team in support of account / territory plans
• Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
• Accelerate customer adoption
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline
• Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
• Manage contract negotiations
• Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
• Ensure customer satisfaction

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years experience with cloud services or in the Satellite Communications Sector or Ground Segment Industry
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and understanding of existing and developing technologies as it relates to cloud computing; understand and identify opportunities for customers
- Track record of managing time efficiently, meeting personal goals, and working effectively with internal, partner, and customer teams
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Technical acumen, sales, and listening skills
- Ability to think and act independently within a fast-paced multi-task driven environment
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce.com preferred), and web-based meeting applications (e.g. Chime)
