The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services Recruiting team is seeking a talented, customer focused Sr. Recruiting Business Partner to join our global recruiting organization. You will be supporting AWS technical teams to drive candidate generation strategies in partnership with your clients.
Successful Recruiters on this team utilize their experience in setting benchmarks, forecasting and tracking against metrics, and prioritizing to hit customer SLAs. They thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, and have fun to get the job done. They draw on extensive knowledge of talent acquisition and functional areas of the business, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders and hiring managers.
We are looking for a Sr. Recruiting Business Partner to help grow and scale hiring in Amazon Web Services (AWS). The Sr. Recruiting Business Partner will be aligned to the business working closely with business leaders and AWS Talent Acquisition to drive a recruiting strategy; including requirements gathering, process improvement for interviewing and closing candidates while acting as the main point of contact for a line of business within AWS.
The ideal candidate must be able to earn trust and influence autonomously with key stakeholders. They must be able to plan and prioritize against customer targets, manage and hire candidates against tight timelines, have demonstrated ability to use metrics to drive and show results, while remaining calm in times of high volume and ambiguity. Thriving in a growth environment and having a strength in problem-solving will be critical to success in this role. The best candidate will draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition while forging dynamic relationships with business leaders, cross-functional partners, and centralized student program teams.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for recruiters that will:
• Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.
• Recruit passive tech candidates and possess the mentality to identify and gauge chemistry of candidates for role fit and understand their motivation rather than sell a role.
• Provides strategic guidance and becomes an advisor business leader in matters related to technical and non-technical hiring by delivering results.
• Develop sourcing models and plans to generate technical and non-technical talent pools, create and execute robust search strategies that will attract the best and brightest talent and calibrate job profiles with hiring managers.
• Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting.
• Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
• Interview candidates within the framework of the position specification.
• Participate in and/or own special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top performers for senior-level openings.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military experience.
- • 5+ years of corporate and/or search firm progressive recruiting experience, with at least 1+ year of technical recruiting experience.
- • 5+ years of experience closing candidates and negotiating offers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience across other functional areas of talent acquisition, ideally diversity recruiting, research or analytics
- Client focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches for delivering candidates.
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships.
- Ability to execute recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, support of inclusive interview practices, and interview process management through closing.
- Possess strong analytic skills; ability to inspect, analyze, and influence using data.
- Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Previous Client Management or Program Management experience ideal.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
