We are looking for a deal analyst to join our Client Success organization to enable expansion velocity while maintaining financial control and compliance, ultimately contributing to the company's revenue growth and operational efficiency.

What you will do:

  1. Deal Structuring and Optimization:
  • Guidance and Support: Provide proactive support and guidance to the revenue teams on deal structures, pricing, and contract terms to help them close deals efficiently.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze the financial viability and risks associated with proposed deals, including profitability, margin impact, and revenue recognition implications.
  • Pricing Strategy: Ensure that pricing and discounting strategies align with company guidelines and market standards, balancing competitiveness with profitability. This may involve building simple financial models.
  • Non-Standard Deals: Specialize in structuring and facilitating non-standard or complex deals that require special approvals or customized terms.
  1. Quoting, Documentation, and Approvals:
  • Quote Generation: Prepare and process accurate and timely sales quotes, proposals, and contract documentation.
  • Contract Review: Meticulously review contracts, commercial agreements, and other deal-related documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Approval Management: Manage the internal approval workflow for deals, liaising with relevant stakeholders (finance, legal, renewals, sales and leadership) to obtain necessary sign-offs and accelerate approval workflows.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all deal negotiations, outcomes, and related documentation.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Liaison Role: Act as a central point of contact and liaison between sales, finance, legal, and operations to ensure smooth deal execution.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and risks related to deals and proactively work with cross-functional teams to find solutions.
  • Communication: Provide timely updates and maintain clear communication with all relevant departments throughout the deal process.
  1. Process Improvement and Enablement:
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to deal processes, including leveraging automation tools and streamlining workflows to reduce cycle times and increase efficiency.
  • Enablement: Train and educate the revenue teams on pricing, discounting policies, deal structuring best practices, and the use of internal systems.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and analyze deal trends, pricing effectiveness, performance metrics, and common concessions to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  1. Compliance and Risk Mitigation:
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure all deals comply with internal company policies, external regulations, and revenue recognition principles.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risk factors associated with deals, such as customer fit, legal compliance, and implementation complexity.

What you will bring:

  • 7+ years of deal experience in SaaS
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a business-related field
  • Pricing strategy experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and succeed in environments with a high degree of ambiguity and evolving requirements.
