As the Brand Marketing Manager for Awardco, you will join the marketing team and work cross-functionally across the marketing department. You will have ample opportunities to learn, grow, ideate, direct, and report back on Awardco’s brand growth. We’re looking for a strong individual contributor with fantastic content marketing instincts, someone who stays up on trends in the industry and in PR, someone who has great research, communication, and writing skills, and who is kind, considerate, and collaborative in their approach.

What you will do:

  • Contribute to and manage our brand presence externally and internally, including researching and proposing opportunities to drive brand awareness, reception, recognition, community goodwill, and of course revenue
  • Manage all public relations for Awardco, including community relations, potential crisis comms, press releases, and more
  • Help improve Awardco’s internal communication structure and put a framework in place for internal comms
  • Manage all online presence for Awardco:
    • Review sites, industry profiles, and public company profiles
    • Manage vendor relationships with updated messaging, branding, and thought leadership changes
  • Strategically source, curate, and respond to reviews on public profiles
  • Research and apply for annual awards to increase Awardco’s brand presence
  • Manage current community relationships and build new outreach plans to collaborate more effectively with the Utah Jazz (one of our major partners), new industry leaders, community leaders, and thought leaders to build Awardco’s brand
  • Oversee brand initiatives at certain events - specifically with the Jazz
  • Establish objectives and areas of focus to ensure metric-driven success
  • Collaborate closely with and report to the Director of Content as part of overall content strategy
  • Work in tandem with our Social Media Specialist to produce high-quality content on a strategic cadence

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in PR, social media, and brand management
  • Experience creating brand and PR strategy, including reporting back on success
  • Strong background in writing, research, and building a brand
  • Motivation & knowledge to stay ahead of trends in the industry and with our brand
  • A self-driven attitude to monitor Awardco’s brand presence and strategize on new ways to improve it through social media, outreach, etc.
  • Positive, friendly attitude and collaborative nature, ability to pivot quickly and with optimism
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Ability to take a complex subject, distill the details, and write with creative, fun, engaging copy to educate readers
  • Ability to manage tasks with deadlines and deliver consistent good work
  • Ability to accept feedback and be collaborative as we build content
  • Ability to work well within a team and go above and beyond to help others, even when it might not be in your job description
