Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Staff QA Engineer to join our performance and scale testing team for networking products. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in networking, particularly BGP and cloud networking across multiple public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. This role requires a strategic mindset, deep technical expertise, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Performance Testing: Design, develop, and execute performance and scalability tests for network products, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.- Optimize with Open-Source Tools: Use and enhance tools like iperf/ethr to measure and improve network performance, identifying potential bottlenecks.
- Network Issue Troubleshooting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex network and performance-related issues.
- Collaborative Improvements: Work with engineering teams to implement network performance improvements based on test outcomes.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed test plans, documentation, and reports for performance testing to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
- Continuous Learning and Application: Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in cloud networking and testing tools, incorporating relevant practices into testing processes.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant Experience: 6-7+ years of experience in networking and QA, with hands-on expertise in BGP with performance and scalability testing.
- Cloud Platform Experience: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Linux Expertise: Strong experience working with Linux environments and using command-line tools for troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Testing Tools: In-depth experience with network performance testing tools like iperf.
- Scripting and Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell for test automation.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities for resolving complex network performance issues.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive performance testing and network optimization efforts.

Your total compensation package will be based on job-related knowledge, education, certifications and location, per our aligned ranges.
