Business Operations Analyst

Introduction:

We are a rapidly growing pre-IPO enterprise software start-up, and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Operations Analyst to join our team. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Operations, you will play a critical role in supporting our operational initiatives, ensuring efficient workflows, and contributing to the overall success and growth of the company. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while gaining valuable experience in business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization Support:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and document existing business processes.
    • Assist in evaluating and enhancing these processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Work closely with the Director of Business Operations to implement process improvements.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Provide project management support for strategic initiatives led by the Director of Business Operations.
    • Assist in developing project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Help allocate resources as needed for project execution.
  • Data Analysis and Performance Metrics:
    • Assist in the establishment and monitoring of key performance metrics (KPIs) to assess the success of operational initiatives.
    • Contribute to the identification of areas for improvement and assist in addressing challenges to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategy Execution Assistance:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand and execute on business strategies.
    • Support the implementation of initiatives that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Finance.
    • Act as a liaison to facilitate effective communication and alignment of efforts.
  • Change Management Support:
    • Assist in change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, tools, or technologies.
    • Provide support and guidance to functional leaders on ad hoc projects as needed based on business requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business operations, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to assist in identifying and resolving complex operational challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proficiency in project management and productivity tools.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive with a focus on achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) business models and enterprise software is a plus.
