As part of our small team, you will help to build our application platform, delivery pipelines, data architecture, and the application itself. You should be passionate about both software development and infrastructure. In this role you will be required to code. You will also participate in our on-call rotation which is responsible for the health of our highly-available globally-distributed service.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain a globally-deployed service
• Create automation for managing the lifecycle of the service, including provisioning, updating, and decommissioning installations or regions
• Build performance and scale cloud testing suite to identify service scalability recommendations and limits
• Work with product team to increase the reliability and observability of the underlying software
• Participate in a thoughtfully designed on-call rotation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics) or equivalent practical experience
• Solid software engineering skills in the product delivery and automation domain
• Familiarity with cluster-level platforms such as Kubernetes, Borg, Mesos
• Experience running a highly available service in production
• Working knowledge of SRE principles such as SLA/SLO/SLI, toil, automation
