Reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs, this role is accountable for driving expert‑level scientific engagement, high‑quality insight generation, and launch readiness for firmonertinib and future indications. The position will initially operate as a player‑coach, combining direct field engagement with people leadership, and is expected to evolve into a primarily leadership‑focused role as the organization scales.

  • Define territories, expectations, and performance standards aligned to NSCLC and EGFR customer segments.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, field accompaniment, and individual development planning.
  • Foster a collaborative, patient‑ and science‑focused culture across a fully remote team.

Scientific engagement and launch execution

  • Translate national medical strategy into regional and territory‑level scientific engagement plans.
  • Ensure high‑quality, balanced, and compliant scientific exchange with clinicians, pathologists, and diagnostic stakeholders.
  • Personally lead selected strategic KOL relationships in NSCLC and EGFR.
  • Lead field medical planning and execution for major oncology congresses, including pre‑ and post‑congress activities.

Insight generation and field excellence

  • Ensure consistent capture of clinical, diagnostic, and treatment insights related to EGFR‑mutant NSCLC, including Ex20ins.
  • Synthesize insights and communicate them to Medical Affairs leadership and cross‑functional partners.
  • Drive effective and compliant CRM use, field metrics tracking, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion use of data, analytics, and diagnostic insights to guide field strategy.

Cross‑functional collaboration

  • Serve as the primary interface between U.S. Field Medical and headquarters Medical Affairs.
  • Partner with Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, and Diagnostics while maintaining medical independence.
  • Contribute field perspectives to medical strategy, launch planning, and evidence‑generation initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific or healthcare degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, NP/PA strongly preferred).
  • Extensive Medical Affairs experience, including leadership of Field Medical or MSL teams.
  • Deep expertise in thoracic oncology and EGFR‑mutant NSCLC; experience with targeted therapies and rare EGFR subsets strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high‑performing, remote U.S. field teams, ideally in a launch or early commercialization setting.
  • Strong understanding of NSCLC treatment pathways, molecular diagnostics, and NGS.
  • Solid knowledge of U.S. pharmaceutical regulations and Medical Affairs compliance.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and matrix‑leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, digital engagement tools, and data‑driven decision making.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the United States.
