The role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr./ Staff Sales Compensation Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and efficient management of sales compensation processes. You will serve as one of the primary contacts for the sales team, providing support and expertise on commission-related matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with sales compensation systems, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What you will do:

  • Sales Compensation Plan Management:
    • Interpret and translate sales incentive plans into metrics, calculation formulas, and commission estimators.
    • Assist in the implementation and configuration of sales compensation plans in Xactly.
    • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for annual plan changes to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Commission Processing and Analysis:
    • Prepare, calculate, and analyze monthly and quarterly commission payouts.
    • Support Accounting with timely and accurate preparation of monthly accruals and reconciliations for commissions.
    • Document approvals and support materials for adjustments
  • Sales Team Support:
    • Act as one of the primary points of contact for the sales team regarding commission-related inquiries, providing clear and timely responses.
    • Communicate complex logic and scenarios in a simple, understandable manner to sales personnel and management.
    • Distribute and track compensation plan sign-offs to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Process Improvement and Reporting:
    • Develop, maintain, and update tools for sales commission reporting and analysis.
    • Build comprehensive documentation for all commission-related processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for automation to improve efficiency in commission processes.
  • Compliance and Controls:
    • Maintain and adhere to internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX and company policies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address commission-related inquiries and requests.
  • Ad Hoc Support:
    • Participate in special projects and provide support as needed to meet business objectives.

What we expect:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of sales compensation experience, preferably in high-tech companies with SaaS/Cloud models.
    • At least 3+ years of experience with Xactly and 5+ years with similar compensation tools (e.g., Callidus).
    • Experience with CRM and HRIS systems, such as Salesforce and BambooHR, is highly preferred.
    • Proven track record of configuring, designing, and implementing commission tools.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
    • Effective team player with a positive, collaborative approach to cross-functional work.

Salary range guidance for this position is: $115,000-165,000 per year.
