We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.
About the role
We are seeking a highly analytical and technical Operations Data Analyst to be the driving force behind operational efficiency, visibility, and performance measurement for our ADAS/AV fleet.
This is a critical in-person role that supports all major operational functions by building the tooling, automating workflows, and providing integrated, data-driven insights. You will be the central resource responsible for standardizing processes and delivering comprehensive reporting that enables leadership to make informed decisions across the entire operational organization.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
- Develop and maintain internal operational tools (using Python, Shell, etc.) to automate repetitive operational and data ingestion tasks
- API Integration Ownership: Integrate core operational systems (e.g., Fleet Management Software, Ticketing Systems like JIRA, Data Storage, Vehicle Telematics) to create seamless data flow and a unified view of fleet health
- Design, build, and maintain centralized operational dashboards (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Grafana) for real-time, consolidated visibility across all teams
- Develop and refine data models that accurately reflect fleet status, cost, and operational effort across all teams
- Own our data ecosystem, synthesizing disparate data streams from our existing toolstack into clear, high-signal insights that drive operational excellence
We're looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or Operations Engineer role, with proven experience supporting multiple operational functions in an automotive, robotics, logistics, or high-tech fleet environment
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and data preparation
- Proficiency in R to automate data workflows and create standardized analytical scripts that improve team-wide efficiency
- Familiarity with Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation
- Familiarity with Shell/Bash scripting
- Experience working with large-scale datasets, distributed file systems, and data warehousing concepts
- Proven experience building and maintaining complex, interactive dashboards using modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Grafana)
- Understanding of operational concepts like APIs (REST), version control (Git), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with in-vehicle networks and data protocols (e.g., CAN/CAN-FD)
- Experience with ticketing/project management tools like JIRA and integrating them via API
- Experience in a production-focused software development environment (DevOps practices)
- Understanding of cross-functional fleet operations (Testing, Maintenance, Safety, Logistics)
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.Please reference the job posting’s subtitle for where this position will be located. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $100,000 - $170,000 USD annually.
